![]() We returned again last week to see a brand new play park had opened. “We visited Longleat Safari Park in June and the Postman Pat Village was closed, we were really hoping it was being updated as it was looking very tired and dated. The end design also integrated a high-quality FHS sand and water play unit with inclusive play tactile and sensory elements to make the site truly inclusive by catering to the needs of children with disabilities. In addition to this unique interactive play piece, the play value is tailored to a wider age demographic allowing more children to play together. The iconic Sona interactive arch is central in the play area, captivating visitors as they walk by. The choice of materials and colours incorporated throughout the design create a more naturalistic theme within the play area which complements the Safari Park. Jupiter Play’s bespoke design evolved from the client's desire to educate children through means of play. The project created a new adventure park using design-led innovations. Jupiter was referred to Longleat based on its wide product portfolio and expertise. In 2016, the management team received an increasing amount of feedback regarding the original play space which was becoming outdated and required increasing maintenance. ![]() A real shame.Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire opened in 1966 as the first drive-through safari park outside Africa and has continued to be a popular visitor destination. Very disappointing considering customer satisfaction should be high on their agenda – they want people to go away happy and yet do nothing to rectify a poor experience even when they accept it was. With this response there was no offer for a return visit or refund – yet they accept full responsibility that the attraction was not working. I would like to assure that I will pass your comments to the Manager of the department concerned, as this is clearly not acceptable.” No help to us that the parts are on order – we have been and gone and paid a lot of money to do so. I would like to apologise to you for any disappointment caused during your recent visits. ![]() On arrival home we emailed Longleat to complain - I did get a response “We are aware of the mechanical issues you have raised with the Postman Pat attraction, and I would like to reassure you that the new parts are on order, we are expecting delivery very soon. But alas all our 2 ½ year old came away with was remembering what automated characters didn’t work – so not a positive experience at all and we were all thoroughly disappointed and didn’t live up to expectations or standards we were expecting at Longleat. Advertised was a visit by “Postman Pat” – which we asked the member of staff about and they said if they have the staff it will go ahead – not helpful with an excited 2 ½ year old, but the character did turn up. We asked a member of staff who said they’d look in to it and found someone to open it. Day 2 – again the shop was closed when we arrived. We came back later in the day and found the shop open. The attraction in itself looked tired and many of the automated figures did not work and there was a flip board which was broken – so very little to do there. We traveled a long distance as a family mainly to see Postman Pat Village – with a very excited 2 ½ year old – which after looking at the promo video looked great and we were all excited! Day 1 – when we arrived the shop wasn’t open and there were no opening times listed on the door – so we were unable to get the “letters” to post through the doors. We visited twice in the same week – day 1 was classed as off peak and day 2 was peak.
